Both in form and content this piece reflects an alternative language of love. The form: messy abstraction, muted earth tones with a splash of colour, partly obscured text, loose gestural marks, oil and cold wax are the ingredients that can create artwork that most inspires and delights me, whether my own work or the work of others. The content: inspired by a quote (by Antoine Saint-Exupery from his book The Little Prince - And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye) the making of the piece expresses love for a person.
